Jesus Knocks At Door
There are seven panels in this window:
Bottom left: The candle reminds us that Jesus is “Light of the World” (John 8:12).
Middle left: Jesus stands at the door and knocks (Revelation 3:20). Gathered in church in Jesus’ name, we comes to us in His word and dines with us in His supper.
Top left: The Sun reminds us that Jesus came as the “Sun of Righteousness” with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2).
Top: The font reminds us of our rebirth by water and the Spirit into Christ’s kingdom. The Holy Spirit hovers over these recreative waters as He did over the primordial waters.
Top right: The crown of thorns remind us of the Sacred Head of Jesus wounded for us sinners. The letters INRI come from the Latin which translates to Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.
Middle right: Christ is bound soon to be lifted up on the cross for the sins of the world.
Lower right: The cross, a symbol of our forgiveness through Christ, is draped with a white veil.
